Gravotech launches the LW3, a laser marking station for bulky parts that provides Class 1 safety to the operator and the workplace.
Its large marking surface and technical characteristics provide versatility and productivity to identification, coding and traceability applications of all types of parts, components or tools.
The Gravotech group has developed a new laser marking station: the LW3. Its capacity and compatibility with fiber, hybrid and green technology laser marking systems make the LW3 the perfect choice when marking a wide range of metal and plastic parts, in all industrial environments, from the aeronautical industry to industrial most demanding automotive manufacturing.
Through its design, the LW3 naturally encloses the laser marking head and the part being marked completely airtight and without risk of entrapment. While the laser marking is being carried out, tubes extract the particles and fumes emitted during the marking process to a highly efficient extraction system, preventing the accumulation of dust within the enclosure and its spread to the work space. All this makes the LW3 a completely safe Class 1 laser.
The LW3 workstation has a marking surface of up to 875×300 mm, and can accommodate pieces up to 628 mm high with dimensions of 1100×750 mm, and a weight of up to 50 Kg. It is perfect for marking individual pieces or for matrix marking of lots.
With this industrial laser station, large parts can be marked in various positions and levels. A 3D module can also be added to the LW3 laser to mark inclined parts.
The LW3 is one of the few industrial laser stations that does not continually require a computer or PC to operate. Markup files can be managed with the touch screen remote controller.
