Industrias Ponsa has invested in photovoltaic and wind energy, generating enough to be able to manufacture using only energy from renewable natural resources.
Industrias Ponsa’s commitment to the environment was already certified in 2018 with the obtaining of ISO 14001 and it continues to bet on sustainable energies as the most effective method to reduce C02 emissions. It is also a pioneer in manufacturing with sustainable materials, fibers of vegetable and recycled origin, promoting the circular economy of its products and has its own production of polypropylene yarn, being pioneers in this fiber. This is the greenest synthetic fiber of all, as it starts out as a by-product and is ranked on the Higgs Index as one of the most sustainable fibers out there. In addition, it has the lowest carbon footprint of any fiber and is mass dyed with zero water consumption.
From the social responsibility of the company, the circular economy is promoted and is aligned with the Sustainable Development objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
