Yamawa is a Japanese manufacturer among the world leaders in the production of threading tools. It was founded in Tokyo in 1923 by Jokichi Watanabe, who named the company “YA” “MA” “WA”, which means “greater prosperity, more union.” In these words, his wish still echoes: as the company prospers, harmony flourishes among the people who are part of it. Yamawa can count on four factories in Japan which guarantee a production capacity of over 1.6 million tools per month: Yonezawa, Fukushima, Aizu, Tsutsumi. The company was the first Japanese manufacturer of taps to obtain ISO9001 certification.
Together with continuous innovation of its products and processes, the company also pays close attention to environmental issues. For this reason, the impact of its plants has been minimized, and Yamawa has obtained the ISO 14001 certification for all its production sites. In January 2016, Yamawa created Yamawa Europe, based in Mestre-Venice (Italy), to offer European customers the potential of its entire range and the know-how built up in 100 years of history.
