Description

Glass, carbon and aramid fibre fabrics are key materials in the manufacture of advanced composites, each with unique characteristics that make them ideal for different industrial applications. Glass fibre is known for its excellent cost-benefit ratio, offering good mechanical strength and durability at an affordable price. This material is widely used in sectors such as construction, automotive and marine, where its corrosion resistance and insulation capabilities are valued. In addition, glass fibre fabrics are easily integrated with various resins, which facilitates their use in processes such as injection moulding and lamination.

On the other hand, carbon and aramid fabrics stand out for their advanced properties in terms of strength and light weight. Carbon fibre is prized in the aerospace, high-performance automotive and elite sports industries due to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, which enables the manufacture of lightweight and extremely strong structures. Meanwhile, aramid, known commercially as Kevlar®, offers superior impact and cut resistance, making it ideal for applications requiring ballistic protection, personal protective equipment and high-strength parts.
