Madrid, September 10, 2024. Advanced Manufacturing Madrid will include the launch of Tech Forum 4.0 in its sixteenth edition, an event specially designed to explore the most advanced technologies that are revolutionizing the sector. Thus, the leading industrial fair organized by Easyfairs, which will be held at IFEMA on November 20 and 21, will offer a space where attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and technologies for the manufacturing sector’s supply chain.
Sponsored by Dassault Systèmes and ASECOS, and in collaboration with Global Lean, this forum is a response to the growing demand for innovative technological solutions that optimize the supply chain, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. The Tech Forum 4.0 will be structured into two main areas, each dedicated to essential aspects of the future of manufacturing: the Demo Zone and the Classroom Zone.
Demo Zone: Technological Innovation in Motion
The technology in motion area aims to allow visitors to interact with the latest technologies in the metal sector, focusing on the optimization of design, operations, quality, waste management, and workplace ergonomics. This involves leveraging technologies such as process automation and integration to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure sustainability in the metal industry. Among the interconnected stations in this area are:- Design Process: Visitors will be able to interact with the latest R&D tools and prototypes, fundamental for the development of innovative products.
- Operational Process: Showcasing new tools, automating repetitive tasks, and using collaborative robots to improve efficiency and safety.
- Quality Process: Predicting quality issues and eliminating waste, ensuring compliance with total quality standards.
- Waste Management: Tracking materials to reduce waste and manufacture parts on demand, minimizing storage.
- Workplace Ergonomics and Safety: Innovations in ergonomics and risk prevention will be presented, essential for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in the metal industry.
Classroom Zone: Knowledge Transfer and Training
Simultaneously, the Classroom Zone will offer a comprehensive conference program throughout the two days of Advanced Manufacturing Madrid, providing a space where professionals can expand their knowledge and skills on critical topics for the sector. This space will host some of the most anticipated sessions of the fair, covering everything from operational efficiency to workplace safety and health, as well as innovation in materials and processes. One of the key events will be the 1st Operational Excellence Forum for the Automotive Sector, which will bring together suppliers at all levels (Tier 1, 2, and 3) with the major players in the global supply chain. This forum will address best practices in operational efficiency and explore how the integration of new technologies can transform the automotive sector, a key area of the industrial economy. Additionally, the Tech Forum program will include key conferences such as:- “Less is More: Operational Efficiency as a Lever to Reduce Costs”: a presentation that will explore how the adoption of lean practices and the use of data analysis technologies are optimizing processes and reducing costs in the industry.
- “Automation and Digitization: Forging the Future of the Metal Industry”: presenting success stories in the implementation of advanced technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT), which are revolutionizing industrial production.
- “Protecting Metal Industry Workers: Modern Approaches to Operational Safety and Health”: discussing new technologies and practices that improve safety and working conditions in the industry, complying with international regulations.
- “The Materials Revolution: Innovations Redefining the Game”: this session will explore how innovation in materials is helping the industry better meet user needs through improvements in existing products and processes.
- “Redefining Efficiency: Keys to Supply Chain Optimization”: exploring key tools and methodologies to optimize the supply chain, focusing on automation, digitization, and data analysis.
- “Pursuing Operational Excellence in Tier Suppliers”: this presentation will address how suppliers at different levels of the supply chain (Tier 1, 2, and 3) can improve their operational efficiency and competitiveness through the adoption of lean practices and the integration of advanced technologies.
- “Production Revolution: Innovations and Trends Redefining the Industry”: analyzing the latest innovations in industrial production, including digital twins, AI, and advanced robotics, and how they are transforming efficiency and flexibility in manufacturing.
Furthermore, ASECOS will present its new lithium battery safety guide, an essential reference in managing these elements, whose use is growing exponentially across multiple industrial sectors. This guide, positioned as a key resource for the sector, has been developed in collaboration with BEQUINOR (National Association for the Standardization of Equipment and Industrial Safety) and in accordance with the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
“The Tech Forum 4.0 is shaping up to be a turning point for manufacturing professionals, providing an environment where technology and innovation converge to offer practical and applicable solutions. Visitors to Advanced Manufacturing Madrid 2024 will have the opportunity not only to observe the latest trends in action but also to gain valuable knowledge that can be implemented in their own operations, improving efficiency, productivity, and safety,” said Oscar Barranco, General Director of Easyfairs Iberia.
