Two Acciona Energía wind farms, protagonists of the first Wind Ecotourism Guide in Spain
Acciona Energía’s wind farms El Perdón, in the Sierra del Perdón (Navarra), and Alto de Abara, in Coaña (Asturias), are two of the protagonists of the first Wind Ecotourism Guide to be published in Spain, according to a press release.
These two facilities have been included in the guide as a result of the company’s “efforts” to ensure that “its renewable projects are integrated into the rural areas in which they are located, helping to generate a positive impact on them”.
The aim of this manual, promoted by the Vientos de Futuro movement, in collaboration with the Asociación Empresarial Eólica and the Planetas publishing group, is to encourage a good coexistence between the historical and environmental surroundings of the places through which it passes, their inhabitants and the infrastructures destined for the production of green energy.
Thus, the two aforementioned Acciona Energía wind farms featured in the guide are characterised “precisely” by their good integration with the rural environment in which they are located.
