CMAK Crane Systems recently completed a significant installation project at a newly established industrial facility developing and manufacturing drives in Turkey’s Aegean Region.
The project involved the installation of 25 overhead cranes, which are tailored to meet the requirements of the facility. They are equipped with CMAK CMX hoists.
There are five heavy-duty overhead cranes with a capacity of 15 tons each, while the other 20 have a capacity of 5.0 tons each. The capacities ensure optimal lifting capabilities across a wide range of materials and operational needs, said Zaydoon Tabrah, export sales engineer at CMAK.
“The manufacturing process presented one of the most demanding aspects, requiring us to adhere to a tight timeframe from January 2023 to May 2023,” Tabrah continued. “Our engineering team meticulously analysed the critical dimensions of the space, which led to the design of double-girder cranes perfectly tailored to the facility’s unique specifications.”
All the cranes utilise a welded box-girder design, minimising sag to less than 1/1,000th of the span, even under nominal load conditions. CMAK said this guarantees efficient and reliable operation throughout the crane’s lifespan.
The company added that the advanced, integrated control systems “are engineered to enhance operational throughput”.
“They utilise innovative inverter speed control technology to optimise crane performance and efficiency. By precisely controlling the speed and acceleration of the cranes, these systems minimise mechanical stress on components – including motors, gears and brakes – reduce component wear, minimise load swing, thus enhancing overall operational safety, and lower maintenance, breakdown and repair costs associated with the overhead cranes.
