Nikko Tools DoubleRek: reliable 90° shouldering applications

Nikko Tools DoubleRek system features double-sided rectangular inserts with four cutting edges. Inserts are larger than conventional inserts, thicker than conventional solutions that allow high depths of cut (APMX 15 mm.)
The increased thickness of inserts extends the contact surfaces and results in a quick and very stable positioning of inserts on the cutter body. Furthermore, it promotes a better heat dissipation and higher strength, also for significant material removal amounts. Inserts rest orthogonally on two sides, offering two wide contact surfaces that lead to stable and reliable operations.
The high rake angle of inserts enables soft cutting action; the wiper facet is large (BS = 3.2 mm), and inserts are precision ground for a perfect finishing.
The internal coolant milling bodies are available in two versions: cylindrical (Z2 and Z3) and arbor (from Z4 up to Z10).
