The additive manufacturing technology adopted is screw extrusion additive manufacturing (SEAM). The material used is thermoplastic polymer in granulated form. The polymer is reinforced (staple carbon or glass fibers) and the reinforcement is inside the granules.
The molten polymer that comes out of the extruder is deposited in layers that plasticize and form a single part.
