Albatros is a concentrate of mechatronics in particular of mechanics, information technology and sensory acquisitions. These three elements work together harmoniously in continuous multidirectional exchanges. The variables change constantly, for this reason the sensors check the geometry at all times, allowing the processing of the correct value based on the sum of the different parameters.
ALBATROS performs the following functions:
– handling of the UDC buffer management; and
– stacking, unstacking and handling of the UDC in certain areas based on the software input.
The advatanges are:
1) Fast transfers;
2) Quick and precise operations to collect and deposit the UDC; and
3) Efficiency and safety in stacking and de-stacking operations.
When ALBATROS is an integral part of the logistics system, the machine deposits picks up the UDCs from to the stations interfaced with AG Vehicles which in turn move the UDCs at any point in the plant.
