Description

Release agents are essential in composite manufacturing processes to ensure a clean and efficient separation between the mould and the cured part, preventing damage to both surfaces. Release waxes are a traditional option that provide a physical barrier on the mould, allowing multiple releases before requiring reapplication. These waxes are ideal for processes that do not require high complexity and are widely used in the manufacture of parts with simple to moderately complex shapes. Their ease of application and relatively low cost make them an accessible option for various sectors.

Semi-permanent release agents, on the other hand, offer increased durability and performance compared to waxes. These release agents create a thin film on the mould that can withstand multiple production cycles without the need for constant reapplication, making them an efficient solution for mass production. In addition, Teflon self-adhesive release agents are advanced products that combine release properties with an adhesive layer that adheres directly to the mould. Teflon provides an extremely smooth, high-temperature resistant surface, facilitating residue-free release and protecting the mould during intensive curing processes, especially in high-precision applications.
