HEMA DURASPRING spiral springs protect spindles from soiling, which can affect the dynamics of the traversing movements. In this way, they maintain the functionality of the system and enable efficient, precise machining of workpieces. The optimum operating conditions for DURASPRING is in applications with oil.
Mounting position
The spiral springs are suitable for both horizontal and vertical installation.
Vertically installed DURASPRING basically achieves longer extension lengths than horizontal versions. Vertical types have a high start-up force, which ensures that the DURASPRING will move out quickly during start-up / extension with machine movement.
For horizontal use, the overlap between turns is increased during manufacture of the spring. In this way, “sagging” is reduced, especially with longer extension lengths, and the transverse stability is significantly improved.
